Before you install
- If Android refuses to install the file, the system is blocking installs from unknown sources. Allow this app in Settings, then choose to install anyway when prompted.
- If you see an "incompatible version" message, the build likely targets an older CPU architecture (ARMv7) that newer phones no longer accept. Look for an ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.

How does ShadeType Privacy Screen hide text while I type?
A small control appears above the keyboard when you start typing. Tapping it drops a slightly translucent veil over the display while leaving the keyboard visible. You can hold the veil to peek at your text and release it to hide the screen again.
Can I keep using Gboard or SwiftKey with ShadeType Privacy Screen?
Yes. ShadeType Privacy Screen is not a keyboard replacement, so it works with Gboard, SwiftKey, or another keyboard already installed. Your autocorrect, swipe typing, and emoji remain part of your normal keyboard use.
What does the Premium Unlocked label change?
This build is labeled Premium Unlocked. The label does not define which Premium options are enabled in this package. ShadeType Privacy Screen's official Pro option includes controls such as opacity, styles, auto-veil rules, and a Quick Settings tile.
Does ShadeType Privacy Screen block screenshots or screen recordings?
No. It is a software overlay intended to hide your screen from people nearby while you type. It does not block screenshots, screen recording, cameras pointed at the phone, or hardware viewing angles.
What Android version does ShadeType Privacy Screen require?
ShadeType Privacy Screen requires Android 8.0 or later. The Google Play data safety listing identifies app interactions, installed apps, and device or other IDs as collected data.
