Before you install
- If Android refuses to install the file, the system is blocking installs from unknown sources. Allow this app in Settings, then choose to install anyway when prompted.
- If you see an "incompatible version" message, the build likely targets an older CPU architecture (ARMv7) that newer phones no longer accept. Look for an ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.

PLAYit supports 4K and HD media along with formats including MKV, MP4, MOV, FLV, TS, MP3, and M4A. It also supports formats such as OGG and 3GP, allowing video and audio files to be played from the device.
Can PLAYit keep playing while I use another app?
Yes. PLAYit supports background playback, so media can continue when you switch to another app. It also has a movable floating window for keeping video visible on screen.
How does the private folder work in PLAYit?
PLAYit includes a password-protected folder for private videos. It keeps selected videos separate from the ordinary media collection for additional privacy on the device.
What does the VIP Unlocked, Lite build change?
This version is labeled VIP Unlocked, Lite. The label identifies the modification associated with this build, while PLAYit remains focused on local playback, downloaded media, and supported formats.
What Android version is required for PLAYit?
PLAYit requires Android 5.1 or later as a minimum installation requirement. Devices running an earlier Android version do not meet that requirement.
